ETA Level of certifications: ETA currently offers three different types of certifications for electronics technicians. These are: Beginner or Entry level, Customer Specialist, and Stand Alone certifications.

ETA Description of certifications:
Entry level: With ETA career paths and certifications one usually starts with the entry-level certifications, SET and CETa. This level tests your expertise with electronics foundations. This level is essentially the entry level in ETA certifications.
Customer Specialist: This level is a specialist level and is an advanced level in ETA certification.
Stand Alone: This level encompasses numerous ETA certifications and includes: AVD, B-VoIP, CAST, CSS, CNCT, CNST, CSI, CSM, CWS, CST, DCIC, ECD, FOD, FOI, FOT, FOT-OSP, RESI/RETI, FDR, PCS-C, and TCM.

The certification validity period for CET and FOI is four years.
