EC-Council Level of certifications: EC-Council currently offers seven different levels of certifications. These are: Entry level security, Graduate level, e-Business, IT Security professional, IT Consultant level, Programming and Post Graduate level.

EC-Council Description of certifications:
Entry level security: With EC-Council career paths and certifications one usually starts with the entry-level certifications, Security5 Certification, Network5 Certification, and Wireless5 Certification. This level tests your expertise with networking security foundations. This level can be considered the entry level in EC-Council certifications.
Graduate level: This level is the level that succeeds the entry level of certifications. Certifications such as E++ Certified Technical Consultant, Fundamentals in Computer Forensics, Fundamentals in Information Security, and Fundamentals in Network Security are what this level consists of. This level is essentially the advanced level in EC-Council certification.
e-Business: This level is the level that succeeds the entry level certifications. Certifications such as Certified e-Business Associate (CEA), Certified e-Business Professional (CEP), and Certified e-Business Consultant (CEC) are what this level consists of. This level is essentially the advanced level in EC-Council certification.
IT Security professional: This level is the level that succeeds the entry level certifications. Certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), and EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA) are what this level consists of. This level is essentially the advanced level in EC-Council certification.
Programming: This level is the level that succeeds the entry level certifications. Certifications such as EC-Council Certified Secure Programmer (ECSP) and Certified Secure Application Developer (CSAD) are what this level consists of. This level is essentially the advanced level in EC-Council certification.
IT Consultant level: This level is the level that succeeds the IT Security professional certifications. Certifications such as Licensed Penetration Tester (LPT) and EC-Council Tiger Team (ECTT) are what this level consists of. This level is essentially the advanced level in EC-Council certification.
Post Graduate level: This level is the level that succeeds all the above-mentioned levels. This level can be considered the equal of a master's degree in e-Business. This level usually means that you have achieved the highest level and consists of Master of Security Science (MSS) and Master of e-Business (MEB).
